GROUND SERVICE TECHNICIAN / SHIFT LEADER

Full-Time (only), Experienced, Ground Service Technicians and Shift Leaders for career positions with Middle-Tennessee's premier general aviation FBO.

As an integral part of our Ground/Line Service Team at Hollingshead Aviation you will be the front line of providing exceptional customer service to our clients. You must work well as part of a team and must be able to work independently as well. Shift Leader positions must possess former management experience and be able to lead a team effectively, with results, while performing and supervising the following responsibilities:

Marshal all incoming and outgoing aircraft for parking on the exterior ramp.

Positioning and towing of aircraft and preparing aircraft for flights.

Fueling aircraft.

Calculate and record fuel usage.

Connecting ground support equipment for air conditioning, heating and power to the aircraft.

Assist crew and passengers with luggage, transport and special requests.

Monitor ramp and facility for safety, security, and compliance with regulations.

Provide exterior and interior cleaning of company and transient aircraft.

Cleaning (mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, dusting, etc.) and maintaining the entire FBO to a stellar atmosphere at all times. This includes common areas, offices, restrooms, hangars, and other areas of the facility as well as the cleaning of courtesy vehicles on a daily basis. The line service team is responsible for the removal of all trash and waste from the facility per shift.

Seasonal lawn and property maintenance, including mowing, pruning, debris removal, pressure-washing and maintaining an exceptional appearance to the exterior of the FBO is required.

Physically able to perform heavy lifting of up to 50-pounds on a regular basis.

Physically able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Will frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, grasp and carry objects.

Required skills:

Previous line service experience is required

Previous supervision experience for shift leaders is required

Professional appearance.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Exceptional customer service skills with strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to do simple arithmetic.

Ability to pass a drug test.

Job location: Hollingshead Aviation (FBO) is located at the Smyrna Airport (KMQY), Smyrna, Tennessee.

Position type: Full-Time, Career-oriented candidates ONLY (40 hrs/week, with overtime as necessary). Must be available for rotating evenings, nights, and weekend shifts.
